I used to brush with him very now and then over many things. \u201cyou shameless teenager, you always play meaningless music.. has no taste at all. Where all our culture has gone?\u201d Often he would begin with \u201cduring our days.. we used to walk 10 miles to go to school,.. you guys find it difficult to\u2026\u201d I used to wonder why this old man cannot shut up from verbal diarrhea of old day stories.<\/p><br>\n\n\n\n<p>When I took up a career in the&nbsp;<a style=\"color: blue;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ashianahousing.com\/senior-living-india\">senior living<\/a>&nbsp;industry, I had little idea that it will change my perceptions about senior citizens and will help me learn more about life, personalities, and age related personality changes. The basic traits of personality often gets consolidated as one ages and behaviors can become cranky. As we age, our physical energy diminishes and the speed of mental activities slows down.<\/p><br>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ashianahousing.com\/real-estate-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Resize_DSC_0043.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2100\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.ashianahousing.com\/real-estate-blog\/smart-home-buying-tips-5-terms-you-absolutely-must-know-before-buying-a-flat\/Resize_DSC_0043\/\" class=\"wp-image-2100\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seniors find it difficult to keep pace with the fast changing pace of life. They find the modern world is designed to thrill the younger generation and lack of equal opportunities cause frustration. Small fonts do not stimulate anymore, staircases become avoidable challenges and honking traffic becomes a nightmare. The frustration has to be vented somewhere if the person is not equipped to deal with it. That\u2019s what happens with seniors and the anxiety and helplessness are perceived as \u201ccranky behavior\u201d by us.<\/p><br>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p>It&#8217;s me who should involve an elder in decision making discussions of family to boost his\/her esteem. I should make attempts to make him\/her important and valuable for the family, I should find activities that can be doable and attractive for my grandparents and aging parents. I realized when I changed my attitude towards seniors, everything suddenly become smooth, to the best possible extent.
